Just handed in your last deadline, finished your final exam and now looking for that graduate opportunity? Maybe you left Queen’s last year and are looking to upgrade your job? Well, Careers Employability and Skills has a one-two punch with the NI Graduate Recruitment Fair and Summer Graduate Workshops to help get you that knockout career. There are still graduate jobs out there and plenty of help to find and secure one.
#1 NI Grad Fair – 11.00-3.00pm Tuesday 14 June Whitla Hall
Do NOT miss this. Over 60 organisations will be there, including lots of employers specifically there to recruit graduates, plus a number of postgraduate course and training programme providers. The key thing to remember is do your research into who will be there – details will be posted on the website http://www.nigradfair.org/ nearer the time. On the day get there early and have a plan of who you want to visit.
The Queen’s Careers vacancy database currently has over 250 graduate job opportunities listed. #2 Summer Graduate Workshops
Need to brush up your jobsearching, application or interview skills? These are essential to getting the career you need once you’ve graduated. Exclusively aimed at recent graduates (and those about to!) the Graduate Workshops offer targeted advice and help with sourcing and securing your ideal job, as well as the latest information on the graduate job market across the UK and Ireland. There will be 16 workshops between now and early September, each covering one of 4 themes:
- Graduate Jobsearching Strategies
- Develop winning CVs and Applications
- Graduate Interview Techniques: a Conversation with a Purpose
- Personal Branding – NEW
